His story
The pair met in 2007 and started dating after two years. Both Shankar and Shashidhar were high-attainment of individuals. The two were in a long distance relationship for many years, while Shankar was constructing a social media platform for anonymous tampering in the Silicon Valley, which eventually flopped, and chasing higher education at Shashidhar Cambridge University.
She re -joined in 2013, while Shashidhar was in the Netherlands, where she was working for Shell. He decided to get married despite the apprehensions of Sashihar’s family. Shankar celebrated him with a detailed engagement proposal.
Shankar returned to San Francisco in 2015, where he attended a healthcare startup as a director of engineering. In 2017, an investigation by a securities and exchange commission found that the company was misleading investors, after which Shankar resigned.
In the beginning of 2017, he co-established his startup repeal, which provided a single platform to businesses to run human resources, equipment and finance. Forbes noted Shankar’s billionaire position by 2022, and, according to reports, he owns a 9 percent stake of repulsions.
His colleagues described him as “coding god” and “a wild good engineer”, but his wife claimed that he was neglected at home. In court tapes, Shashidhi claimed that Shankar was “very neglected” as a husband and father.
“He will return home, and he will sit with his laptop … when he comes, we had a restricted, short time,” Shashidhi testified.
However, he said that despite limited time, Shankar always demanded sex with him.
Tax theft charge
In 2020, Shashistha claimed that Shankar shifted the family to the state of Washington. In his testimony, Shashistha said that Shankar was expecting a sufficient amount of shares to be received for the establishment of the company, which wanted to dodge the vest and to dodge the California income tax.
During this time, Shasidhar was reportedly working as a senior program manager for Microsoft. She told the court that Shankar would pressurize her to find time to work for sex, if she fails to comply with her, she would repeat her danger of finding other partners.
He lived in Washington for two years, after which Shankar uprooted the family in Singapore. According to Shashidhi’s testimony, Shankar did this because he wanted to return some of his assets back outside the US without attracting tax authorities.
Shankar also admitted in the court that American Samoa and St. Kitts and Nevis had family property, and thought that it was useless to pay American taxes for the family, and this was a reason for their move.
Before proceeding forward, he also changed his visa status to pay the exit tax on unrealistic capital gains from repulsions.
After going to Singapore, Shashistha lost his job and was unable to work on a dependent visa through Shankar.
The report said that problems for this couple increased, as Shankar often told his wife that she was entitled to any of her money.
Shashistha also claimed that when she stayed at home and took care of her son, Shankar said “a crowd of high-tribalist headonists” and “engaged in trivial sexual practices with many partners/prostitutes.”
He claimed that Shankar would also encourage him to have sex with his friends, which he refused. This testified to him “scared,” “violated,” and “destroyed”, he testified.
“That place was, as you know, our marriage broke,” she said.
Tiki’s allegations
Shankar claimed that his wife was concerned, after which he was passing through divorce. They were negotiating on the terms of the amount that she had to pay, on which she was unhappy, she claimed.
He also alleged that his wife “kidnapped” his young son in the US, forcing him to register an international child kidnapping case, but the US court ruled in his favor, signing a memorandum for a memorandum (MoU) between the two sides.
Under the terms of the agreement, Shankar had to pay around Rs 9 crore to his wife and Rs 4.3 lakh per month and shared joint custody of his son.
Subsequently, Shashidhi interacted with him to come to Chennai and share his son’s custody, which was for some time, claimed.
However, tension between the two increased when his wife refused to follow the MoU, especially on submitting his child’s passport in a shared locker.
This resulted in another legal battle with Shankar reaching the courts, stating that he would share his son’s custody only after the passport is submitted in the locker. She claimed that she did not attend the court hearing and instead filed a police complaint against her.
Fearing misunderstanding, the technology ran away with his son as the police knocked on his door.
Shankar claimed that he has also provided evidence of the police that his son was safe and “happy”, but the police continued his search.
