Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir spokesperson Altaf Thakur today welcomed the tireless and coordinated efforts of the security forces under Operation Sindoor, claiming that the ongoing counter-terraler drive was destroying the terrorist network in the length and width of the federal area.
Thakur described three foreign terrorists in Dachigam forest area of Srinagar as “monumental success” and a reflection of uninterrupted coordination between Jammu and Kashmir Police, Indian Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He also pointed to the recent operation in Kulgam in South Kashmir, where two more terrorists were neutralized, and a previous crack in Jammu region – all parts of the same operation.
He said, “These back-to-back successes are proof that Operation Sindoor is a decisive, complete-spectrum effort to hunt terrorists hiding in any street or corner of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Thakur reiterated that the rift reflects the unwavering policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to eliminate terrorism from the region. He said, “This is a clear message: The government will not rest until the last terrorist is erased.”
He appreciated the security forces for his courage, discipline and ineffective commitment. Thakur said, “From the forests of Dachigam to the cities of Kulgam and Henorlands in Jammu, our brave youths have demonstrated extraordinary professionalism. Their efforts are restoring peace and rebuilding the confidence of the public,” said Thakur.
In order to support the armed forces in their missions, they emphasized that ending terrorism would pave the way for true development, increase in tourism and overall prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, “Operation Sindor is not only about bullets and encounters – it’s about achieving the future of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a war for peace and progress, and India is winning it,” he concluded.
