New Delhi, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 19 September (IANS), Operation Sindoor proved that the country makes its own fate, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Friday looking at the valor of the veterans in the 1965 war.
At an event held in the South Block of Diamond Jubilee of India’s victory over Pakistan in 1965, the Defense Minister said, “The cowardly terrorist attack in Pahgam still did not give up our morale.
He said, “Operation Sindoor showed our enemies how strong we are. Coordination and courage with which our army has carried out the operation, is proof that victory is no longer an exception to us; it has become our habit. We should always maintain this habit.”
According to the statement of the Ministry of Defense, “Our resolve of defense modernization, better training for upgradation of soldiers and equipment is to ensure that forces ever face lack of resources.”
Credit of political will and leadership for victory in war, the Defense Minister said, “No war is fought only on the battlefield; victory in the war is the result of the collective resolution of the entire nation.”
He said that in 1965, India managed to face uncertainty and challenges, as well as due to the strong intentions of the then PM Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Rajnath Singh said, “He not only provided decisive political leadership, but also brought the morale of the entire country to higher heights. Even in unfavorable conditions, we displayed unity and won the war.”
The Defense Minister reiterated the unwavering resolve of the government, which is called the “top priority” for the dignity and welfare of the families of soldiers, veterans and fallen heroes.

The statement stated that the ceremony stood as a powerful reminder of sacrifices made during the 1965 war and inspired future generations to maintain courage, sacrifice and permanent values of service.
