The Ministry of Natural Resources of Ontario has imposed a fine of $ 2,500 to a person for illegally camping on crown land and leaving the garbage behind.
The ministry says that a person of North Bay camped in Stewart Township located in Northeast Ontario for more than the 21-day period.
Conservation officers also found garbage around the man’s trailer.
The border of the 21-day camp is to give others an opportunity to set up camps at the same place on Crown Land.
The ministry says it also reduces environmental damage.
A news release by the ministry stated that the person’s case was heard by a judge in April 2025.
