The Solicitor General of Ontario says that the province is adding 150 beds to three jails across the province using modular construction.
Michael Kerzner announced at the Niagara Detention Center on Thursday, which will expand 50 spaces, as Vanier Center for Women at Milton, and Sesil Fesar Youth Center in Sudbari, which is also being converted into an adult facility.
Construction is expected to begin next year and the province costs more than $ 180 million.
