Gandhi, June 21, KDC: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the newly created Community Marriage Hall today and laid the foundation stone for the Steel Trus Girder Bridge at a distance of 50 meters in the rhinoceros.
He dedicated the community marriage hall at Duderhama, construction of Gandarabal for the public, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.15 crore and the feature is to work as an important and inexpensive site for weddings and other community programs, which meets the long pending demand for local population.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to the creation of people-centered infrastructure which promotes social good. “This marriage hall is not just a building, but a step towards making community life more inclusive and accessible,” he said.
Later, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of a steel truss bridge of 50 meters over blue Sindh for a period of 50 meters. The project of Rs 7.56 crore is expected to increase local connectivity and a smooth movement between settlements on both sides of Nallah.
Highlighting the importance of the bridge, the Chief Minister said, “The bridges do not only connect places, they add people and opportunities. This bridge will improve a lot, reduce the time of travel, and ensure smooth dynamics for the residents.”
Senior district officials, engineers and large number of local residents were present in both incidents and appreciated the developmental initiatives by the government in their region.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by his advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, Deputy Commissioner Gandarbal Jatin Kishore, Superintendent of Police, Police Genderbal Khalil Poswal, Chief Engineer Public Works (R&B) Department Kashmir Sajjad Ahmed Ahmed Nakib and other concerned officials. (KDC)
