The Ola Roadster, showcased in its design patent, exudes a sporty demeanor, defined by the presence of chunky tires gripping the alloy wheels.

The Ola Electric Roadster gets sleek wraparound LED headlamps to add to its contemporary appeal, complemented by integrated LED winkers on the tank shroud.

Ola Electric has established its presence in the Indian market with its S1 series of electric scooters. Recent reports indicate that the Ola S1 series sold 3.29 lakh units during FY 2023-24, marking a growth rate of 115 percent. Buoyed by this success, Ola Electric has set its sights on entering the electric motorcycle segment.

Ola’s previous announcements highlighted its ambitious plans to venture into the electric motorcycle arena, unveiling intentions to launch four different models: Ola Cruiser, Ola Adventure, Ola Roadster and Ola Diamondhead. Recent developments indicate significant progress as the company files a design patent for the Ola Roadster.

The Ola Roadster, as shown in the design patent, has a bold and sporty aesthetic, characterized by chunky tires mounted on alloy wheels, enhanced by USD forks and a twin-disc brake setup. At the front, a sleek wraparound LED headlamp adds to its contemporary appeal, complemented by integrated LED winkers on the tank shroud.

Notable features of the previously displayed concept model include a futuristic digital instrument panel and a unique three-step seat design, with the front half serving as a cover for the charging pod. The rear end features a flush-fit tail light unit, further enhancing its modern appeal.

Crucially, all four of Ola’s electric motorcycle models will share a common platform, ensuring consistency in battery and mid-mounted motor specifications, the company said. However, each model will offer different power and range ratings to suit specific riding preferences and needs.

Bhavish Agarwal, co-founder and CEO of Ola Electric, promised groundbreaking performance, boasting the most powerful electric motor ever seen on a motorcycle in India, with a larger battery pack compared to its scooter counterparts. Additionally, Ola assures customers a plethora of advanced features with its existing scooter range with minimal parts-sharing, underlining its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.
