One ohio doctor is facing criminal charges after authorities say he allegedly secretly and forcibly gave an abortion pill to a pregnant woman, causing her to miscarry.

An investigation by the State Medical Board of Ohio later revealed that Abbas had crushed the pills and attempted to put them in the woman’s mouth during the attack in December. In an interview with board investigators in July 2025, Abbas admitted that he ordered the drug using his wife’s personal information, gave the woman crushed pills, disconnected the 911 call, and disposed of the remaining drugs.
