Meteorologists expect above-average rainfall across the country for this time in October. There will also be more heat. There are also heavy rains in July, August and September. That happens this time in October, too. This was revealed by Director Meteorological Department Mrityunjay Mahapatra.
He told reporters that the Indian Meteorological Department predicts that rainfall at this time in October is expected to be 115% higher than the average of the past 50 years. This can cause damage to crops grown during the summer. Because their harvest season is coming. This rain will damage crops.

By this time farmers had begun harvesting crops grown during the summer. For example, rice, cotton, soybeans, corn, beans, etc. If it rains under such conditions, the harvested crops will be completely destroyed. Rainfall in September is also well above average due to the late departure of the monsoon. As a result, summer-grown crops were damaged in some parts of the country.
According to statistics from the meteorological department, rainfall in September was 11.6% higher than normal. Rainfall in July was 9% above average and August was 15.3% above average. Heavy rains are expected in the first half of October (i.e. the first 15 days). Farmers are worried about this.

October rains will also bring benefits. The humidity of the ground will increase. Therefore, crops grown in winter will benefit. Such as wheat, grams, etc. The monsoon leaves a week later than usual. Therefore, the monsoon ends completely in mid-October. When the rain stops, temperatures also stay high due to increased humidity and sunlight.
