Not a matter of victory or loss, voter roll should be clear: Pawan Khera charged Rahul

New Delhi, 18 September (IANS) doubled the omission of Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s systemic voting deletion during the Karnataka assembly elections in 2023, Congress leader Pawan Khera said that the Election Commission gave a clarification for such violations of the election process and on whose requests, voter deletes were given ‘permission’.

He also took the pole panel to work, alleging that it was not cooperating with the CID investigation of the alleged voter deletion in Karnataka.

Speaking to IANS, Pawan Khera said that an FIR was filed for alleged irregularities in the voter role only after Congress candidate BR Patil filed hundreds of petitions before the pole panel.

Increasing a series of questions, Khera asked: “Isn’t the fact that the Election Commission is not cooperating in the CID investigation? Isn’t the fact that even after 18 reminders, the EC is not responding to the demands of CID? Is this the fact that the pole panel was caught red?”

The head of the Congress Media and Publicity Department, when the Congress victory was questioned in the same election, said that this pole was not a case of defeat or victory, but an issue of electoral possibility, for which the Grand Old Party was always standing.

He said, “It is not a matter of victory or defeat. The Congress won the election and could increase its victory difference by more than 10,000 votes, there was no wrongdoing. The election process should be transparent and free from any defect, the voter list should be clear,” he said.

Criticism of Khera of the pole panel followed the shocking charge of Rahul Gandhi’s vote deletion in Karnataka’s Alund constituency, where he claimed that more than 6,000 votes were removed by using the online tool ‘through’ organized and systemic process.

He claimed that large -scale vote deletion took place in Congress booths, through fake login and using phone numbers from outside the state and all these voters were supporters of India.

In Karnataka, for the Alundh constituency, which Rahul allegedly described as a Congress stronghold, was won by Subhad Gutder (BJP) in 2018 and then later by BR Palil (Inc.) in 2023 elections.
