Police request to UK associates to deal with Balmina violence to deal with police
A senior official said that the police in Northern Ireland have requested support from colleagues in the rest of Britain.
PSNI Assistant Principal Constable Ryan Henderson said the force would bring additional officials, vehicles and equipment to areas where unrest has erupted.
He said that on Tuesday, there were disgusting scenes in Belfast, Lisburn, Coleren, Caricaphyragus and Newtounbey, as businesses, homes and cars were attacked and damaged.

The riots have been declared a ‘racist thug’
Ethnic minorities and immigrants have been targeted in riots in northern Ireland, in response to the fact that two teenage boys had alleged attempting to rape a teenage girl in Ballimena, a Romanian interpreter read their allegations.
Here politicians and local officials have said:
First minister Michelle O’Neel said that he believes that it is important for political leaders to join together and to calm down in Ballimena.
“Whether it is the Catholic families out of their homes in North Belfast, whether it is racism, which we are seen in Ballimena in the last two nights, is wrong. We have to say that its wrong, and all political leaders need to be involved in calling to calm together,” said the first minister.
“All executive parties have come together to say what is happening needs to be stopped.
“We can’t prepare it: This is racism in Ballimena. We need to say that it is not something we will tolerate in our society.”
A local police officer has also called it a “racist thug”.

The violence originated after a vigilance in support of a teenage girl’s family, which was a victim of an alleged sexual attack in the city over the weekend.
Two 14 -year -old boys appeared in court on Monday, attempted rape. The allegations were read by the teenagers by a Romanian interpreter.
PSNI said that it had made a third arrest on Monday evening regarding an investigation into a serious sexual attack. The 28 -year -old man was released unconditionally from police custody after questioning.
A peaceful vigilance began around 7.30 pm on Monday. BalimenaPolice were present due to a large number of people, who had gathered many masked persons, separated from the gathering and started building barricades, stocking missiles and attacking properties nearby.
The members of the mob started the police and attacked the officers with petrol bombs and masonry as the disorder continued in the vicinity of Galgorm Street, near Linnanhall Street, as well as the Larne Road Link near Brad.
