Northern Army Commander briefs CM Omar Abdullah on security situation

Srinagar, May 14: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma has informed Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah about recent developments with the prevailing security situation in the Center area and control and other border areas.

Lieutenant General called him a day earlier, Abdullah said in an X post on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister said on his official X handle, “Yesterday, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratic Sharma called me and gave information about recent developments with the prevailing security situation and the Line of Control and other border areas.”
He said that 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava along with the General Officer along with the commander of the army.
Abdullah said, “Our army is doing a commendable job in defense of the nation.”
The Commander of the Northern Army also called Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday.
