Seoul:
North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards its east coast on Monday, South Korea’s military said.
The Japanese government and its coast guard also issued an alert that North Korea had launched what appeared to be a ballistic missile. Broadcaster NHK said the projectile appeared to have landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone.
The two governments did not immediately provide further details.
