North Korea condemns the recent strike on Iran, calls Israel “a cancer -like unit for peace”

Web Desk, 19/06/2025

North Korea on Thursday condemned Iran’s recent Israeli aerial attack as “a hidden work of aggression” and warned that it risk triggering a wider war in West Asia.

In a statement made by the state -run news agency KCNA, North Korea, quoted by the Yonhap outlet, said that Israel, supported by the United States and West, is a “cancer -like” unit in threatening peace in West Asia.

The conflict between Israel and Iran entered its seventh day today.

KCNA stated that a spokesman for the North Korea Foreign Ministry on Friday voiced “serious” concerns about Israeli military attack against Iran, in which KCNA asked Israel to increase the danger of a fresh all-out war in West Asia.

The spokesperson said Israel’s attack on Iran violates the sovereignty and regional integrity of a sovereign state and is “an inaccessible crime against humanity”.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman said, “The current serious situation seen by the world clearly proves that Israel is a cancer -like unit for peace in the Middle East and is a main criminal to destroy global peace and security.”

After establishing diplomatic relations in 1973, North Korea and Iran are known for close ties under international sanctions for their weapon programs. Yonhap reported that Pyongyang and Tehran have also provided weapons to Russia to support their war against Ukraine.

North Korea’s comments come amid US President Donald Trump’s remarks, who said his “patience has already gone out” with Tehran.

Trump held a status room meeting on Wednesday afternoon to discuss US options. Trump indicated that he has not yet taken the final decision whether America will be involved.

Israel defense forces stated that Israel’s Air Force said on Thursday that it has targeted Iran’s missile manufacturing capabilities and is currently conducting a “series of attacks” in Tehran and other areas of Iran.

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic revolutionary guard Corps said the air defense system had become active on Tehran. CNN reported that the Israeli strike has killed military sites and infrastructure in Tehran as well as residential buildings – causing many residents to flee the city.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran’s actions are purely in self -defense, but the country is “committed to diplomacy.” Irani’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majeed Takht Rawachi told CNN, “If we decide to join American military, we have no choice, but whenever we achieve the necessary goals to take action on it, it has no option.” “This is clear and simple. Because we are working in self -defense,” he said.

Iran said in a statement that Iran has said that it has removed Sejjil-2 solid-fuel medium-fuel medium-range ballistic missiles towards Israel. Tehran imposed a nationwide temporary sanctions on internet access across the country.

Iran has been developing its atomic infrastructure from the 1960s, often, underground underground with some features. It is capable of most stages of uranium production from mining to enrichment. However, Tehran has insisted that its program is peaceful, CNN said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement in a statement on Wednesday, thanking US President Trump for “supporting support in the Israeli sky”.

He said that Israel was killing Iran with “tremendous power”, while admitting that Israel had to face “painful loss” in the war. “We are killing Ayatollah’s rule with tremendous power,” he said. “We are killing his nuclear program, his missiles, his military headquarters, a symbol of his power.”

Meanwhile, US President Trump told reporters on Wednesday that he had not made up his mind to start an aerial attack on the Iranian nuclear facility.

“I can do this, I can’t do it,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday. “I mean, no one knows what I am going to do.”

“There is nothing,” Trump said. “I can tell you this. Iran had a lot of trouble.” Trump said, “Nothing ends until it is finished.” But “is going to be very big next week – perhaps less than a week.”

Trump said Iran wants to resume the talks after Israeli is battered by airstrikes, which Iran has refused. The US President said that he would not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. (AI)
