Noida road rage: Police arrest three after dashcam video of BMW chase goes viral

A dashcam video of him chasing and hitting a BMW car late on May 2 went viral before the UP police reported the road rage and nabbed him.

A screengrab from a dashcam video shows the BMW following the car with the family late on the night of May 2. The occupants of the luxury car were also seen throwing bottles at the victim’s car after a failed attempt to overtake. Police later arrested three of the four suspects in the case.

Police have arrested three persons involved in the road rage case in Greater Noida last week. The UP police took into account a dashcam video from the victim’s car and launched an operation to trace the suspects. The fourth person seen in the road rage video is yet to be arrested. The video, which shows a BMW sedan without a registration plate, chases another car in Greater Noida late on May 2. The video shows the BMW hitting the victim’s car during the chase in clear violation of traffic rules.

UP Police arrested three suspects from Beta-2 area on Monday evening after the police started investigation. Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Greater Noida, said, “Taking cognizance of the video, an FIR was registered against the four suspects at the Knowledge Park police station under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 279 (rash driving). of the Indian Penal Code.” The trio were identified as Saket, Vipin and Arun – all BTech students of a private university in Greater Noida. Efforts are on to trace the fourth suspect. The BMW car was also seized by the police.

A dashcam video of a BMW car with four men chasing a family late at night in Greater Noida went viral on social media a few days ago. The road rage started after the BMW and the victim’s car were involved in a minor road accident. The victim can be heard on dashcam video trying to call for help after being chased by the same car that hit them.

The four suspects were also seen attacking the family after blocking the victim’s car in a deserted area. They were seen pelting stones at the victim’s car as the family tried to reverse their vehicle and flee. A woman inside the victim’s car can be heard calling the police for help as the incident unfolds on screen.

As the family did not pursue the case legally, the police took note of the video and took action. According to police, there were three people inside the victim’s car, including the woman whose voice can be heard in the dashcam video.
