No third-party intervention in India-Pakistan: Rajnath Singh

Hyderabad, 17 September (IANS) Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has clarified that the ceasefire between the Indian and Pakistan was not due to the intervention of a third party and reiterated that Operation Sindoor has been stopped only.

He said that when Pakistan repeatedly requested the ceasefire, Operation Sindoor was stopped. “This is a break and not an end,” he said and warned that in case of any terrorist attack in the future, Operation Sindoor will resume.

He was speaking at the 78th Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations here on Wednesday.

Rajnath Singh cited the statement of Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar that India rejected the role of third party to end the struggle. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made it clear that this is a bilateral issue and no third party can intervene.

Referring to the damage caused to the terrorists due to operation vermilion, Rajnath Singh said that Jaish-e-Mohammed Commander admitted that the dreaded terrorist Masood Azhar’s family was exploded into an attack on Bahawalpur.

Saying that India has become stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that no power can dare to challenge India.

He said, “During the last 11 years, India under the leadership of Modi has repeatedly proved the world that our patience is our strength and our patience should not be seen as a weakness,” he said.

He said, “This is the 2016 surgical strike, 2019 Balakot Air Strike, or Operation Sindoor of 2025 – India has proved that people who do not understand the language of dialogue, peace and goodwill, we know how they have to answer in the language that they understand,” they said.

The Defense Minister recalled that India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made it clear that the issue of the states is an internal matter and no foreign intervention would be tolerated. India was new independent of those times, it was recovering from the pain of partition, and had fewer resources, but it still did not allow any power to intervene in any internal matter.

“When today’s India has completely changed and it is on the way to become the third largest economy, how can any country think that it can determine the conditions for India. Operation vermilion is the greatest evidence. Our alert force surrendered to the enemy,” he said.

Clearing that today’s India cannot be decided by anyone, he commented that India writes its script.

Rajnath Singh attracted a parallel between Sardar Patel’s action to surrender to the Nizam of the state of Hyderabad and join the Indian Union and India’s reaction to the Pakistan-provided terrorist attacks.

He said that the atrocities committed by the Rajkaras in the then Hyderabad state were like the Pahgam incident, where the terrorists killed people after asking their religion.

He said, “The terrorist attack in Pahgam was also going on on India’s social harmony, such as like Rajkars.

He recalled that under the leadership of Sardar Patel, India launched Operation Polo, and on 17 September is the anniversary of the operation of that operation. 17 September is not just a date or day, but it is also a symbol of the fact that the integrity and unity of every enemy of India will only face defeat, ”he said.

“Sardar Patel brought the army, his clever advisors, and his blood to bring the army to his knees. After the defeat, the Nizam had to enter India, withdraws relations with secrets seriously, withdraws complaints for the United Nations, and accepted the democratic system.”

The Defense Minister said that it was regrettable that for seven decades after independence, no attempt was made to remember this historical event and give it due respect.

Saying that Nizam was one of the richest men in the world, he was in confusion that with his wealth, he would surrender to India.

“Even today, the world’s richest and powerful people should realize that India is neither tilted before any force nor will bend in future.”

Rajnath Singh alleged that even today, people are sympathetic to Rajkaras and they are called the biggest enemy of the country. “Even today, there are sympathy of Rajakars in the country. I want to say clearly, these are our biggest enemies. But we are firm to completely eradicate this mentality, this ideology and this mentality from India. There is no value more than India’s integrity and unity.”

The Defense Minister hoisted the national flag and reviewed a color parade by the Central Armed Police Forces at Parade Ground, Secunderabad.

Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekawat, Union Minister of Union Coal and Mines. Kishan Reddy and Union Home Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar also addressed the event.
