Investigators have found “no survivors” in the following “Devastating” explosion at Tennessee military supplier plant 18 people went missing in this incident which took place on Friday morning.
“At this time, we have not located any survivors,” Humphreys County Sheriff Chris Davis said Saturday in an emotional update on the investigation.
The explosion occurred just before 8 a.m. local time at the Accurate Energetic Systems facility in the Buxnort area. Authorities originally said 19 people were missing, the number was revised to 18 on Friday evening.
Davis called it the most “devastating scene” he had ever seen: “There’s nothing to describe. It’s gone.”
