No strike notice from Air Canada flight attendants union yet

There is no word on the fact that the Sangh, which represented Air Canada and some 10-Hazar flight attendants of the Sangh, has postponed a possible strike or lockout that may start soon on Saturday.

The Air Canada component of the Canadian Association of public employees will be in a position to strike till 12:01 pm on Saturday.

This means that the 72 -hour notice required for any job action can be given at any point.

However, midnight has arrived and no indication has been received from both sides that a strike or a lockout has been reported or a temporary deal has reached that will prevent a work stagnation.

Last week, the union voted 99.7 percent in favor of the strike mandate, which is effective for 60 days.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the airline’s Air Canada component has been in contract since the beginning of the year and the strike mandate comes after the airline and the union ending a reconciliation process without reaching a deal.

Air Canada says it will inform customers whose flights have been potentially canceled. They will be eligible for a full correspondence, which can be obtained through its website or Air Canada Mobile App.

CUPE on Tuesday rejected a proposal from the airline to enter a binding arbitration process.
