Nitish Kumar’s JD-U workers meet to strengthen NDA schemes

Patna, 3 October (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called an important meeting with Janata Dal (United) workers in Patna on Friday before the state assembly elections.

The meeting was attended by about 400 party employees across the state.

During the session, Kumar sought a response from the ground level workers on the implementation of various government schemes, emphasizing that it was the collective responsibility of all party members to effectively reach the NDA initiative to the people.

Interestingly, the meeting also saw some party leaders appeal to the Chief Minister’s son Nishant Kumar to include Nishant Kumar in active politics.

JD-U Nalanda District President Ajit Chandravanshi and District Vice President Bharat Sharma urged Nitish Kumar to encourage Nishant’s entry into political life, saying that his participation would activate the party cadre.

According to sources, Nitish Kumar assured him that he would consider the matter, saying that the workers in Nalanda had already reached the consensus to propose Nishant Kumar as a candidate for the future elections.

The meeting, which lasted for about three hours, saw that Nitish Kumar personally interact with each worker to gather updates about the political situation and public response in their respective constituencies.

The prominent leaders present at the meeting included Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha, Union Minister Lalan Singh, JD-U State President Umesh Kushwaha and MLC Sanjay Gandhi.

Speculation about the political start of Nishant Kumar, son of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has once again received traction in Bihar politics.

Political observers say that the start of Nishant Kumar has been roaming for years, although Nitish Kumar has continuously maintained silence on the matter.
