Patna, Patna, 22 September (IANS) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated the foundation stone for 1,300 projects under the Chief Minister Samagra Shahari Development Scheme (Chief Minister’s comprehensive Urban Development Scheme), which in 33 districts of Bihar, at a total cost of Rs 769.63 crore.
The event was held at the Mauryalok Complex, where the Chief Minister also constructed six mechanized waste transfer stations for rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads in Patna Municipal Corporation area (Rs 124.44 crore) and solid waste management at a cost of Rs 69.97 crore.
During the ceremony, CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated new facilities under the Patna Smart City Project in Mauryalok, which was at Rs 15 crore, inspected the newly formed Mauryal Mandapam, and handed over appointment letters to 22 city managers, including Neetu Kumari, Varsha Kumari, Nishan Parveen, Ritesh Karveen, and Ritesh Karwane, Ritesh Karwane, Ritesh Karwane, Ritesh Karwane,
Giving details of the comprehensive urban development scheme, he also released a booklet and flagged off the vehicles of cleanliness service under the cleanliness service campaign, in which cleanliness workers Sulekha Devi, Malti Devi, Shravan Kumar, Ajay Paswan and Savita Devi were honored.
Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the expansion of 35.65 km of the JP Gangapath Project, adding Digha-Sherpur-Bahita at a cost of Rs 6,495.79 crore.
On completion, the project will improve connectivity with Patna-Ara-Buxar National Highway (NH-922), Lucknow-Ghazipur Purvanchal Expressway and Ara-Mohania National Highway (NH-319).
CM Nitish Kumar emphasized that expansion will reduce the traffic congestion with Danapur-Chitanwan-Maaner, and NIT will provide better access to Patna, IIT Patna and Bihta Airport.
The Chief Minister urged the officials to ensure timely completion with high quality, urban development, improved infrastructure improvement and highlight the importance of these projects for the convenience of citizens in Bihar capital.
From Digha, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for five other roads along with a total length of 225.475 km at a cost of Rs 2,900 crore.
These include Banka, Munger, and Dhoraiya-Ingalis Mor Asarganj Road in Bhagalpur, whose length-58.47 km 650 crore rupees at a cost of Rs 51 lakh, Hathauri-Ari road in Muzaffarpur, Length-21.3 km length-32.26 km, Rs 373 crore, Rs 373 crore, raid-maghuli-muthani road, In Sivan, length-72.18 km, Rs 701 crore at a cost of Rs 26 lakh, Bangang-Jetian-Gahlot-Bindas Road. 361 crore rupees 32 lakhs.
