Nissan said that it is necessary to plan to be reduced instead of resorting to closed

(Bloomberg News) -Inaters who are familiar with this, Nissan Motor Company plans to repair its booming financial situation without closing the factory because it hopes to revitalize its business before cooperation with Honda Motor Corporation.

It is said that Nissan will focus on reducing and integrating existing production lines in Japan and overseas to reduce costs and require dislikes of cost because they have no right to speak publicly. It is said that employees’ work changes may also be trimmed.

They added that the previously announced plans to lay 9,000 jobs in global layoffs and reduce production capacity by 20 %.

NISSAN is taking measures to improve its performance, including implementation structure to ensure sustainable profitability and cash generation, even if the expected annual sales expected by fiscal 2026 will be 3.5 million units. It said that more details will be provided in the future.

CEO Makoto Uchida previously said that all choices were on the table.

Honda CEO TOSHIHIRO MIBE said in December that Nissan’s recovery is a prerequisite for any type of alliance, and both companies need to be independent and feasible to integrate to achieve realization. Nissan does not directly turn off any factory to make Honda angry, and Honda is looking for wholesale changes with smaller competitors.

It is expected that Honda will take the lead to bring the two automakers together and provide further details of its game plan this week.

Last week, local media reports said that Nissan plans to end the production of advertising compact trucks in Japanese facilities later this year. Nissan has not publicly announced any details about layoffs.
