New Delhi, October 6 (IANS) National Investigation Agency (NIA) has another accused in 2022 Lawrence Bishnoi Gang and Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) Terror -Gangster Nexus case – another accused – another accused – so far – an official said on Monday.
The case is related to a terrorist conspiracy by Lawrence Bishnoi Terror Gang, along with working with the BKI organization to spread terrorism in India.
In its 5th charge sheet filed before NIA Special Court, Patiala House, Delhi, the NIA has accused the Rahul Sarkar of providing facilities to the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in completing terrorist activities in India.
According to the charge sheet, the government also assisted the gang members in fleeing from the country and prepared and arranged forged identity documents such as Aadhaar card, voter ID and bank passbook.
The accused further used fake documents to assist the gang members, including co-accused Sachin Bishnoi, in the purchase of passports to escape from the country and to proceed with their terrorist activities, the NIA investigation showed.
The Rahul Sarkar is the 22nd accused to be the charge sheet so far in the case. Of these, 18 accused, including Rahul, have been arrested, while four are absconding.
The statement said that the case was originally registered by Delhi Police Special Cell on 4 August 2022. The NIA, who handled the investigation on 26 August, continued the investigation of terror-Gangster Nexus in the same year.
Last week, the NIA charge had given four accused in the case of a grenade attack at the residence of former Punjab minister Manoramanjan Kalia.
The charg esheet named two arrested individuals: saidul ameen from amroha (uttar pradesh) and abhijot jangra from kurukshetra (haryana). It also listed two absconders: kulbir singh sidhu from yamunanagar (haryana) and manish, also know as Kaka Rana, from Karnal (Haryana).
An NIA official said in a statement, “All four have been charged under various sections of the UA (P) Act, BNS and explosive materials.
Officials mentioned that the attack in Jalandhar, Punjab, took place on the night of April 7 in the premises of former BJP minister Preators Kalia. The NIA took the investigation on 12 April a few days later.
Kulbir Singh, an operative Kulbir Singh of the banned terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), hatched a conspiracy with his colleague Manish, also known as Kaka Rana, to form a terrorist gang.
