The NHL Players Association says that the acquitted players should have an opportunity to return to work.
It states that the NHL announced that the players are ineligible to pending their analysis of the judge’s decision, their collective bargaining is “inconsistent” with disciplinary procedures.
The Players Association says it is addressing the controversy with the league and has no other comment.
