New Delhi, Oct 18 (IANS) Intas Pharmaceuticals CEO Rakesh Bamzai described the NDTV World Summit as an important platform for dialogue on critical global issues and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘self-reliant India’ as a guiding force for the next decade of India’s progress.
Speaking to IANS on the sidelines of the summit on October 18, Bamzai said the event has brought together thought leaders at a time when the world is grappling with continued uncertainty and changing economic realities.
He said the global environment today has been described as the “new normal” – where ambiguity, complexity and volatility dominate decision-making across all sectors. Despite this environment of unpredictability, Bamzai expressed confidence in India’s preparedness and resilience.
He said, “India is fully prepared to deal with the situation. I am excited about the future.” He highlighted that Indian industries are rapidly evolving to adapt to global challenges.
Reflecting on the Prime Minister’s push for self-reliance, Bamzai said ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ is not just a slogan but a transformational vision supported by decisive leadership.
“It’s a wonderful vision. He is a leader who leads from the front, a leader full of conviction, a leader full of clarity – and that means a lot,” he said.
Bamzai also emphasized that the coming decade will be defined by the rise of India on the global economic and geopolitical stage.
“We are being led by a dynamic, strong, articulate leader who really wants to take the country to the next phase. The next 10 years, the next decade, will be for India,” he said.
As the NDTV World Summit hosts leading voices from diverse sectors, Bamzai’s comments reflected a growing sense of optimism about India’s trajectory in a changing world.
