Gary Neville has made a prediction about whether Newcastle United will get top 4 ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool this season.
Currently, Spurs sit 4th in the table, while the Magpies are only one point behind them with a game in hand while Jurgen Klopp’s men sit in 6th place, while being 6 points adrift of a top 4 place with a game to play.
After Newcastle got a late win against Nottingham Forest, Gary Neville put forward his prediction about which two teams out of them, Liverpool and Tottenham will get top 4.

While Antonio Conte’s side are winning out of the three in terms of the points battle, they have looked extremely unconvincing throughout the campaign.
The same cannot be said about Newcastle, who have perhaps overachieved in the ongoing campaign and yet, Gary Neville backs Tottenham and Liverpool to secure top 4 over them.
“Newcastle have got a clear run until the end of the season. [Manchester] United have progressed in the FA Cup and the Europa League makes it more difficult for them with the fact that they’ve Casemiro suspended for the next four matches, which is a big difference.”
“Newcastle with these last two wins are in a position whereby they’ll have a real go at it. But I still think Liverpool, Tottenham and United have got a little bit more experience.”
“This is the time to hit form. Eddie Howe won’t be getting carried away but he’ll be a lot more confident after this week”, he said on Sky Sports.
While the prediction made by Gary Neville does make sense, Liverpool especially look way past their best to a point where it is no longer just a blip and as for Tottenham, they remain very unpredictable even now, which perhaps make Newcastle the best bet to get into the top 4.
