Former India head coach Ravi Shastri has been impressed with Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill’s leadership during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Gill has impressed with his leadership qualities after taking over the captaincy from current Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya ahead of IPL 2024. Won two out of three games. In his post-match speech, Sudarsan said it was a “difficult” wicket to take against fast bowlers.
The 22-year-old also praised Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan for restricting Hyderabad to 162 runs.
“I’m happy that my contribution helped the team win, so definitely happy. It’s a difficult wicket to play against the fast bowlers and it’s hard to score on pitches so we decided to target that spin. It’s great The contribution of Mohit bhai and Rashid bhai, picked crucial wickets to restrict the target to around 10-15 runs. Playing in front of the home crowd is a plus point for us.
