New bus route to join London’s 194 km superloop expansion

With consultation on BL1 route closed on 14 March, with Transport to London (TFL) saying that it received most positive support from the residents.

Jyof Hobbes, director of TFL of Public Transport Service Planning, said: “It is very good to see support for the ‘Bakeraloop’ express bus running between Watelo and Louisham, which will enable us to improve public transport connectivity and capacity between South -East London and Central London, which will be distributed by distributing some benefits of Bakellu line extensions.”

BL1 is about to operate every 12 minutes during Monday to Saturday, and then every 15 minutes every 15 minutes during Sunday, evening and early morning.

In response to local stakeholders and residents, it was found that 82 percent agreed that the route would be more convenient, and 79 percent stated that it would resulting in bus travel time.

“But it should just start. With increasing public support, we will continue to press for the Bakerlu line upgrade and extension -a game -CHANGING that would mean rapid travel and new opportunities for our community, as well as thousands of houses, jobs and economic growth were unlocked to the UK.”

Three other routes have also been proposed, which will travel between Ealing Broadway and Hendon, Stratford and Chingford Hatch and Clafum Junction and Elham Station.

Consultations for all three are ready to start in autumn.
