Defense Minister Rajnath Singh targeted the opposition in the Lok Sabha on Monday, accusing him of prioritizing the wrong questions during the initial debate on Operation Sindor.
Singh responded to the questions raised by the opposition during the Parliament monsoon session about the loss of potential Indian aircraft, said that his questions did not represent national sentiments.
“In every country, the citizens and the government assigning different duties to the opposition. The role of the government is to work for the citizens, and the role of the opposition is to ask the government questions on important matters related to citizens. Some members of the opposition are asking how many of our aircraft were shot?
Singh further said to Operation Sindoor, saying that the military operation started on 7 May in response to Phalgam Terror Attack was a “success”.
“If they should ask a question, it should be whether India has destroyed the terrorist bases, and the answer is, yes … If you have any question to ask, it should be whether the operation was a success. Answer is a success. Answer Yes. The head of terror was destroyed. If you have a question to ask, if you have a question to ask.”
Labeling the military campaign launched by the Indian armed forces as “historic”, Singh paid tribute to the soldiers who are always ready to sacrifice their lives for the nation.
Singh said in his address to the Lok Sabha, “Parliament is ready to discuss Operation Sindoor. First, I would like to expand my gratitude from Parliament, whenever needed, he has sacrificed for the country.”
He insisted that India’s policy was “decisive and effective demonstration” against Sindoor terrorism.
Operation Sindoor was performed after the initiative terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people on 22 April this year.
