Jerusalem:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said on Friday that he had ordered military officials to develop plans to “evacuate” Rafah, where half of Gaza’s 2.4 million residents are currently sheltering.
A statement from the prime minister’s office said the prime minister had told officials to “submit a comprehensive plan to the cabinet to evacuate residents and destroy forces of the Palestinian group Hamas holed up in the city.”
