New Delhi, 19 September (IANS) New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Friday set a world record of 10-km long live canvas paintings by more than 35,000 artists as part of the celebration to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
The mega art event themed ‘wicket’ was organized by NDMC under Seva Parv under the Seva Parv under the Seva Parv under the cooperation of Triveni Kala Sangam and the University of Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the enthusiasm of all artists and students was admirable to portray images of “developed India” of their dreams.
He praised the NDMC for organizing the unique art festival of youth as part of the fortnight—celebrated ceremony to mark the birthday of PM Modi starting on 17 September.
Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that the event is a historical moment of creative art where thousands of youths built a 10 km long canvas together.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that under Seva Parv, “Rang, Kala’s Song of Vikit India” is not being held not only in Delhi, but across the nation – every state, every district and every village.
He said that successful participation from all over India is a symbol of unity, coming together on a platform with more than 35,000 artists and is a historical tribute to make the PM’s birthday really memorable.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that this is the first time that such an incident has been organized in the national capital Delhi, where thousands of famous artists and students from different states across India have portrayed together at 10 km long canvas.
“Today, in the capital, the ideas and dreams of young people have been brought together on the canvas with different colors, representing a notable creative confluence,” he said.
Participants in the Mega Art Event Included Prominent and Padma Awarde Artists like Jatin Das (Delhi), Biman B. BAS (Delhi), Adwaita Gadanayak (Odisha), Jai Prakash (delhi), Jai Prakash, Ram Kishan Chahi (Rajasthan), Shanti Devi (Bihar), Paresh Rathwa (Gujarat), Kalyan Joshi (Rajasthan), NIRMAL Soni, Lokesh Joshi, Ayush Chhipawal and Lavish Joshi.
