Patna, October 18 (IANS) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, while addressing a huge public meeting at the New Stadium in Fazalganj in Sasaram after the nomination of NDA candidates on Saturday, launched a scathing attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Taking aim at the opposition, Chaudhary said, “Congress looted Bihar for 40 years and RJD for 15 years. Both these parties have only exploited the state, whereas the NDA government has worked to beautify and develop it.”
He said the NDA government has focused on improving infrastructure, creating employment and attracting industries in Bihar.
Appealing to the people to support the NDA candidates, he said, “Now it is our responsibility to take this beautiful Bihar forward. When NDA is strong, Bihar is strong.”
Deputy CM Chaudhary concluded by expressing confidence that the NDA will return to power in Bihar, adding that the alliance’s unity and development track record will ensure victory in the upcoming assembly elections.
The event marked the nomination of several NDA candidates in Rohtas district.
Murari Prasad Gautam of Lok Janshakti Party’s Ram Vilas (LJPRV) filed his nomination from Chenari, JDU candidate Vashishtha Singh from Karghar, Nagendra Chandravanshi from Nokha and former MP Mahabali Singh from Karakat.
Snehlata Kushwaha, wife of NDA ally Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha, formally entered the election fray.
She filed her nomination papers before SDM Ashutosh Ranjan along with her husband and a large group of enthusiastic supporters.
Addressing the same meeting, RLM candidate Snehlata Kushwaha also pledged to give priority to development and public welfare in her constituency.
Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha expressed confidence that his candidature will bring a new wave of change in Sasaram area.
Rashtriya Lok Morcha has secured six assembly seats under the NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement, one of which is contested by Snehlata Kushwaha.
