New Delhi, 22 September (IANS) Naval Staff of Admiral Dinesh. Tripathi’s head, the island will discuss the path of maritime security, capacity enhancement, training and identity to strengthen cooperation with Sri Lanka during its four -day visit to the nation, which started on Monday, an official said.
During the visit, Admiral Tripathi Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini will call Amarsuria, and will engage in bilateral discussion with three service heads and other government officials by 25 September.
A statement in a statement stated that their comprehensive spectrum dialogue revolves around defense cooperation cases, with identification of the way to strengthen marine safety, capacity enhancement, training and cooperation.
Admiral Tripathi will also participate in the 12th edition of Galle Dialogue 2025 – International Maritime Conference in Colombo will also participate on the theme of the Indian Ocean under Changing Dynamics.
The Indian Navy regularly interacts with the Sri Lanka Navy through annual defense dialogue, staff interactions and other operational conversations, including the Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise (Slinex), route exercise, training and hydrography exchange.
In addition, both the Navy regularly participate in multilateral events such as the Indian Ocean Navy Seminar, Galle Dialogue, Milan, Goa Maritime Conclave/ Seminar and Colombo Security Closing.
The busyness of the Indian Navy chief in Sri Lanka is structured in a deep bond of friendship, which paves the way for increased understanding in major areas of strategic and maritime interests in line with Mahasagar’s vision – the way for safety and development in areas.
The journey confirms the India-Sri Lanka relations, which anchor a shared vision for mutual respect, sea trust and peace and stability in the Indian Ocean region.
The 12th edition of India -Sri Lanka Bilateral Navy Exercise Slinex -25 was held in Colombo in August to promote marine diplomacy and strengthen people’s connections.
