Navalny’s wife says after death: ‘Putin and his associates will not get away with it’

After the shocking death of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s most vocal critic Alexei Navalny, his wife said that if Navalny’s death confirmed by Russia’s prison service is confirmed, Putin and his associates will not Get away with it.

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Yulia Navalnaya said she was skeptical of news of her husband’s death because it came from Russian government sources.

“We can’t trust Putin and the Putin government. They always lie,” Navalnaya said, her expression serious and tears streaming down her face.

She further said: “But if this is true, I want Putin, his entire entourage, Putin’s friends, his government to know that they will do what they did to our country, my family and my husband Take responsibility. And that day will come soon.”

The Kremlin critic’s wife also called on the international community to unite against what she called Russia’s “terrible regime”.

She added: “Both this regime and Vladimir Putin must take personal responsibility for all the terrible things they have done to my country, our country, Russia, in recent years.”
