The club said: “Following the injury sustained during the match against Inter, Kevin De Bruyne underwent vital tests at the Pineta Grande hospital and revealed a high-grade tear in the femoral bicep in his right thigh.”

Conte’s leadership serie a One point above AC Milan, but De Bruyne’s absence – which is expected to last between three to four months – is another blow to a club already struggling with an injury crisis.
De Bruyne also has a history of hamstring problems, having had surgery on the same leg in August 2023 and missing four months of the season at Manchester City.
