This top technology event will be held from February 26 to February 29 at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via conference center in Barcelona. Xiaomi took the stage and launched a slew of devices including Mi 14 Ultra, wearables, tablets, and more. In addition, Honor also launched a number of products at the press conference. Together with other manufacturers like Lenovo, Infinix, etc., it makes MWC 2024 one of the best tech events of the year. However, keeping track of everything announced at MWC 2024 can be daunting. Mi 14 Extreme Commemorative Edition and Mi 14

Xiaomi finally launched the long-awaited Mi 14 Ultra and Mi 14 at MWC 2024. The latest smartphone from the brand comes with top-notch features and specifications. The Xiaomi Mi 14 Ultra performs well in terms of cameras. The phone features a 1-inch 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 sensor with step-variable aperture. It also comes with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50-megapixel 3.2x telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel 5x periscope telephoto camera.

The company also launched a Mi 14 Ultra photography kit that comes with a handle encased in a leather case. The phone also features a 6.73-inch 2K OLED LTPO display with 120Hz variable refresh rate. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, Adreno 750 GPU, up to 16GB of LPRRDR5X RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone is powered by a 5,300mAh battery and offers 90W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The Xiaomi Mi 14 smartphone features flat bezels with rounded corners. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor coupled with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone comes with a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50MP 3.2x telephoto camera. Xiaomi Mi 14 is equipped with a 4610mAh battery and supports 90W wired charging.

Xiaomi also launched the Mi Pad 6S Pro tablet with a 12.4-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, 10,000mAh battery, 120W fast charging, 50-megapixel rear camera camera, 32-megapixel selfie camera, and six speakers. The tablet runs Xiaomi HyperOS. Xiaomi Mi Pad 6S Pro is priced at EUR 699 (approximately Rs. 62,800) for the 8GB model and EUR 799 (approximately Rs. 71,800) for the 12GB model.

The company also launched a new line of wearable devices at MWC 2024. The new Mi Watch 2 comes with Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor, 1.43-inch AMOLED display, aluminum alloy frame, dual-band sensor, 12-channel heart rate monitor sensor, 65 hours of battery life, and runs on Wear OS.

Mi Watch S3 comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display, 5ATM waterproof, dual-frequency GPS support, heart rate sensor, air pressure sensor, up to 7 days of battery backup, and more.

Finally, there is the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro, equipped with a 1.74-inch AMOLED display, metal frame, quick-release bracelet, 10 wrist running routes, 4-channel heart rate monitoring module, and battery life of up to 14 days.

Honor Magic 6 series and Honor Magic V2 RSR

Honor launched its flagship Magic 6 series to the global market at MWC 2024. The brand’s latest smartphone packs some flagship-level features and design language. The phone features a 6.8-inch Full HD+ 120Hz LTPO display with a quad-curved floating screen. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Adreno 730 GPU. It also comes with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

The Honor Magic 6 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup on the rear panel, offering a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 180MP periscope telephoto camera. On the front, you have a 50-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3D depth camera for 3D face unlock. It runs Android 14 and has a 5,600mAh battery that supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging.

3 Honor Magic V2

Honor also launched the foldable smartphone Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR at the tech event. This is a special edition of the existing Honor Magic V2, with a design reminiscent of the Porsche 911 hood. The foldable product comes with an anti-scratch nano-crystal shield for better protection against scratches. The specifications are similar to the original Honor Magic V2.

Honor also launched new tablets and laptops during the event. The Honor Pad 9 tablet features a 12.1-inch LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, eight speakers, and an 8,300mAh battery with 35W fast charging support.

The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is another interesting product from the brand. The laptop comes with some artificial intelligence features that help improve performance. The laptop features a 3K resolution display with 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It also features spatial audio and is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU. The laptop also comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series GPU. It is available in white and midnight colors and will be sold globally starting in the second quarter of 2024.

Nokia brand Barbie flip phone, etc.

HMD Global did not launch any smartphones at the event. However, the brand confirmed that it is producing flip phones and smartphones for tinkerers. The brand will collaborate with Mattel in July this year to produce a Barbie-branded flip phone.

The brand also confirmed that smartphones can be easily repaired through FIY (Fix it Yourself) courses. Additionally, the company has released the first version of a toolkit for developers, allowing users to customize the smartphone to their needs.

Lenovo officially launched the ThinkBook transparent display laptop concept at the 2024 World Mobile Communications Conference (MWC). This is the first laptop to feature a 17.3-inch micro-LED transparent display. It also has a transparent keyboard area and floating foot pad design. The transparent display offers high color saturation and 1000 nits of brightness for optimal visibility in both indoor and outdoor conditions.

Infinix Coolmax system and AI algorithm

Infinix also launched some cool features at MWC 2024. One of them is a new air cooling system called CoolMax. The CoolMax system regulates temperature and dissipates heat from its components very efficiently. The company claims the cooling system can reduce temperatures by up to 10 degrees Celsius.
