Mustafa, Shortlisted for Nemahsis Polaris Music Award

Toronto-contemporary folk-pot Mustafa and All-Pop singer Nemahsis are among the 10 acts shortlisted for the Pollaris Music Award, which bears a slimd-down cash reward this year.

The organizers say the best Canadian album winner will receive $ 30,000 to $ 50,000.

Executive Director Amber still said that the organization received less money from some of its sponsors this year.

Other shortlisted artists include electronic experimental Mary Davidson, Punk Outfit The OBGMS and Psychidelic Rockers Population II.

The winner will be announced on 16 September in a gala in Massey Hall, Toronto, when the $ 10,000 Polaris song award will also be submitted for the first time.

The contenders of this year include folk-soul artists Saya Gray and French-Kanadai singer Lu-Edrian Cassidi.

The list features the pop pair Bibi Club, Calgary-Utaya Yaves Jarvis and Anishinabe-led pair ribbon skirt.
