MP: Three dead, three injured injured in tragic confrontation near CM’s program

Sidi (Madhya Pradesh), 19 September (IANS) A disastrous road accident took place on Thursday evening at the program of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at the program of Sidi-Singarauli National Highway 39, leaving three dead and three seriously injured.

The incident occurred around 7.30 pm when a sharp game utility vehicle collided with a stable truck with tents parked on the roadside.

According to preliminary reports, there were no warning signs in the truck loaded with tents for the Chief Minister’s program. The effect was serious, killing two passengers.

One third later succumbed due to injuries, while three others set a serious shock and were immediately sent to Reva for advanced medical care.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed deep grief over the loss of life and expressed condolences to the bereaved families. In a statement released late Thursday night, he said, “I pray to Baba Mahakal for the peace of the departed souls and give strength to grieving families.”

He instructed the district administration to ensure proper treatment for the injured and closely monitor their condition.

According to the police, the vehicle registered at Jagdish Jaiswal in village Jethula was allegedly operated by his son, Prince Jaywal.

The Prince initially left the house with two passengers, but more persons boarded the N route, with the total number of residents to six.

Police sources said the vehicle was traveling at a high speed when he killed the truck parked outside the Chief Minister’s venue, police sources said.

Local officials immediately reached the spot to reach the spot and facilitate emergency medical response. The conflict has expressed concern about traffic management and roadside security measures, especially during high-profile public programs.

The tragedy has put a shadow on the official proceedings of the day and introduced a fresh call for strict enforcement of highway safety criteria. Officials have not yet confirmed whether negligence has played a role in the accident.
