He said, “It is a very happy day for the residents of Rewa. This day will be written in the history books as a golden opportunity. Earlier it used to take a lot of time to travel by train. Now people can return to Rewa from Delhi in a single day. The flights are full since the first day.”

Notably, the Rewa airstrip has been upgraded with 258 acres of newly acquired land along with the existing 65 acre facility. According to airport officials, construction of a full terminal is underway, and once completed, major airlines will be invited to operate flights to Delhi, Indore, Bhopal and beyond.
