Breaking News from Madhya Pradesh: A fire broke out at a firecracker factory in Hatta, Madhya Pradesh, causing multiple explosions and triggering panic among locals in nearby areas. At least 11 people were killed and nearly 200 injured.
Addressing the people, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that more than 50 ambulances have been sent to the scene, while Minister Ranvendra Pratap Singh, DG Home and about 400 police personnel also went to the accident site.
The chief minister also announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and free treatment to the injured.
Video of the incident showed a roaring fire and thick smoke billowing inside the factory. On the road next to it, explosions rang in the air and people fled in panic.
