MP: Congress is demanding action against BJP MLA’s son in Indore market issue

Indore, September 30 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Congress on Tuesday launched a new attack on the BJP -led Madhya Pradesh government, alleging that the BJP MLA’s son Akulav Singh Gaur shopped in an indoor market to remove the mashed employees.

The campaign (to remove Muslim employees) was allegedly pushed by Aklav Singh Gaur, it was presented as an operation against “Love-Jihad”, which gave rise to a political controversy, especially after former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh visited Sitala Bazar in Indore on Saturday.

The incident took place in early September when Gaur went to a meeting with the owner of the shop of Setlal Mata Bazar in Indore.

On Tuesday, State Congress chief Jitu Patwari said, “The Congress believes in the rights given to the Constitution and every citizen of this country. I have a simple question: Why is the Indore police so far to arrest Akalvya Gaur?”

Patwari said that he met the Indore Police Commissioner on Tuesday and demanded action against Aklav Gaur. He said, “Who will work and who will not in the market … Who is it to decide? The Congress increases full support to Muslim workers who were removed from shops in Indore,” he said.

Patwari further said that Digvijay Singh had already submitted a written complaint to the local police station, and the Indore Congress unit is regularly opposing unconstitutional activities.

There was a dispute on Saturday when Digvijay Singh was prevented from entering Sheetla Mata Bazaar. Later, a senior police officer told him that a formal complaint was received about the case and “being investigated.”

On Monday, Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava strongly criticized Digvijay Singh’s visit to Sheetla Mata Marker, stating that Singh deliberately tried to harass the city’s “peaceful” atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the Hindu Mahasabha also staged a protest against Digvijay Singh. The members burnt Digvijay Singh and the Leader of the Opposition (LOP) to the leader of Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, while raising slogans.
