Bhopal, Oct 21 (IANS) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, chairing a review meeting on the Bhavantar scheme on Tuesday, directed officials to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience during any stage of the implementation process.
The Chief Minister directed that Bhavantar payments should be transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer within the stipulated period and farmers should receive SMS notifications to confirm the payment.
It was told in the meeting that the period for sale of soybean will be from 24 October 2025 to 15 January 2026.
All bank transactions are being done electronically through e-Procurement and e-Mandi portal.
Chief Minister Shri Yadav said that adequate technical and human resource arrangements have been made in all the mandis and sub-mandis.
Mandi level staff have received training, and CCTV surveillance has been installed at entrances and premises.
Each mandi has also set up a help desk.
The Chief Minister said, “All district collectors, commissioners and agriculture secretaries have been instructed in the review meetings to take necessary action related to Bhavantar Yojana.”
He reiterated that Bhavantar Yojana has been launched in the interest of farmers and has received wide appreciation across the state.
He said registrations have increased more than three times, with a total of 9.36 lakh farmers enrolled under the scheme.
Bhavantar Yojana is a special scheme for soybean growing farmers in the state.
According to the scheme, if the soybean of farmers is sold at less than the Minimum Support Price (MSP), the state government will compensate their losses.
Under the scheme, the state government will calculate the average mandi rate and compensate the price difference directly into the accounts of farmers through direct benefit transfer.
Madhya Pradesh, known as the “soybean bowl” of India, produces about 60 percent of the country’s production in 66 lakh hectares.
