Bhopal, October 23 (IANS) Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Thursday transferred Rs 250 to the bank account of every woman registered under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana in Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of ‘Bhai Dooj’ festival.
The Chief Minister transferred the amount through a single click during the Bhai Dooj Utsav program organized at his official residence in Bhopal. On this occasion, a group of women BJP leaders tied Raksha Sutra on the wrist of Chief Minister Yadav.
The festival of Bhai Dooj symbolizes the unbreakable relationship between brother and sister. On this day, sisters pray for the long life and happiness of their brothers, while brothers promise lifelong protection and affection in return.
On this occasion, CM Yadav congratulated and congratulated the people of the state.
Addressing women leaders during the programme, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said, “A sister’s prayer for her brother’s progress and long life is as sacred as nectar. This sacred festival further strengthens the sweetness.”

Under the Laadli Brahmin scheme, which has become a flagship scheme of the state’s social welfare architecture, the 29th installment of Rs 1,541 crore was transferred to over 1.26 crore beneficiaries in Sheopur district on October 12.
With the transfer of Rs 250 more on Thursday, each beneficiary of Ladli Brahmin Yojana has received a total of Rs 1,500 this month. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had earlier announced that the government will transfer Rs 1500 per month after Diwali.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Yadav described the sisters of the state as “our pride”. He said women now get Rs 1,500 monthly, which is planned to be increased to Rs 3,000 by 2028 in a phased manner.
More than 12.6 million women are currently benefiting from the Ladli Behan Scheme. When the scheme was launched in 2022, women would receive Rs 1,000 per month. Later this amount was increased to Rs 1,250 and now it is Rs 1,500 per month.
The scheme was launched before the assembly elections in 2023 with a monthly installment of Rs 1,000, which will be increased to Rs 3000 per month before the next assembly elections in the state in 2028.
