MP: A man rode a horse to the district court for hearing in a 25-year-old Arms Act case.

Madhya Pradesh, known for its unique character, often witnesses some unusual events. A similar incident took place in Burhanpur, where Sheikh Shakeel Dada reached the district court on horseback for the hearing of a 25-year-old Arms Act case related to him.

However, his dramatic arrival soon became the talk of the town. As the horse approached the court gate, it suddenly stopped – hesitating to cross the iron railing near the entrance. Then Shakeel got down and started taking the horse. The onlookers, astonished and amazed, took out their phones to record the scene and the video soon went viral on social media.

When Local18 team spoke to Sheikh Shakeel, he said, “I have a 25-year-old Arms Act case registered against me. I have come to the court today for the same. I am physically disabled, so I have come riding on a horse.”

As he approached the gate, iron barriers stopped the horse in his tracks, forcing him to turn it around. The entire moment was captured on video by bystanders and quickly spread online, with some even jokingly claiming that he had arrived in a “four-wheeler”.

Usually, people come to the court on motorcycles or cars and park the space before entering. But Shakeel’s entry on horseback surprised everyone. The video clearly shows advocates and visitors looking on in disbelief – and many couldn’t resist filming the unusual scene.
