Motorola teases launch of Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 phone in India

By | Published | No Comments

Motorola has announced the upcoming launch of a new smartphone in India. The Lenovo-owned smartphone maker has started revealing some specifications of its next-gen smartphone, days away from its debut in the country. While Motorola has yet to officially reveal the name or launch date of its upcoming smartphone, the specifications revealed by the company suggest it will be a mid-range smartphone, just like the so-called Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Motorola disclose Its next-generation smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip. This is a mobile processor for mid-range phones, which means the upcoming Motorola phone may launch in the same segment.

The company also provided an image of a rectangular object with a fast charging animation – suggesting that Motorola’s yet-to-be-released phone could support fast wired charging or wireless charging. The third object shown in the trailer appears to be a smartphone camera lens, but it’s unclear which camera the company is referring to.

The company previously teased a smartphone with a curved display in a short video posted on the X. The phone has rounded edges on the left and right sides of the screen. The back panel is also briefly revealed, with the Motorola “Batwing” logo displayed in a small indentation on the back of the phone. The video also confirms that Motorola’s Edge series of phones will be launched soon.

Earlier this week, Motorola announced through a press release that it would hold a launch event on April 3, teasing the “fusion of art and intelligence.” While the company has yet to reveal any details about the smartphone that will be launched at the event, the teaser contains the same words (smart and artistic) as the teaser shared on X.

As the next launch is approaching, we can speculate that Motorola is planning to launch the Moto Edge 50 series in India. The smartphone teased by the company may be the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion or Edge 50 Pro. Considering the mid-range Snapdragon chipset the company teased, the former is likely to debut in the coming days — and we expect to hear more details about Motorola’s next phone in the coming days.
