Motorola Edge 50 Pro to launch in India soon; Flipkart microsite goes live

The Lenovo-owned brand announced on Monday (March 18) that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will soon be launched in India. A dedicated microsite on Flipkart is teasing the design and some specifications of the upcoming Edge series smartphones. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro has been confirmed to be available in at least three colors and feature a curved pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It comes with an AI-powered camera unit guided by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Motorola Edge 50 Pro is expected to run Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

pass A post on Motorola India X revealed that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be launched in India soon. The sale is confirmed via Flipkart. The teaser shows that the phone features a curved screen with a waterdrop notch in the center of the display to house the selfie shooter. However, Motorola has not revealed the exact launch date of its upcoming smartphone.

As mentioned earlier, Flipkart has a landing page on its website website Preview of Motorola Edge 50 Pro design and specifications. Confirmed to be available in black, purple, and white. It will feature a 6.7-inch pOLED display that supports 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 2,000 nits peak brightness. The monitor is said to offer HDR10+ certification and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The display features SGS eye protection to reduce blue light emission and is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Motorola Edge 50 Pro has been confirmed to feature an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. The upcoming phone is said to be the world’s first Pantone-certified camera. It will have an AI-powered triple rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel 2μm AI-powered main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera with 50x hybrid zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens.

According to past leaks, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will run the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC and be paired with 12GB of RAM. It is said to go official on April 3 alongside the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion.
