Mothers face ‘earning after long -lasting children, there is a decrease in earnings

Mothers have to face “adequate and long lasting” deficiency in earnings after children have children, new research has shown.

A Study From National statistics office (ONS) found that five years after the birth of the first child, the monthly income was average, 42 percent less – a loss of £ 1,051 per month – compared with income a year ago.

The deficit remained during the study period (in England in 2014–2022).

Cumulatively, ONS received a total loss of total earnings in five years, which was an average of £ 65,618 after the first child, with an additional £ 26,317 after each other and £ 32,456 after one third.

Part of this shortage was held responsible for the reduction in employment.

After the first birth, the most important earnings declined, followed by every latter child continuously for five years.
