Asked by John Heath, senior coroner of North Yorkshire, whether there was any problem with Biggi in the past in Caravan, Mr. Wilkinson said: “It was completely normal in the case of the dog being in the dog’s family.

“There has never been any incident in relation to the dog in the family’s house, as far as the investigation has been scheduled.”

When asked by the coroner, the officer confirmed that the caravan was not witness to the attack.

He said that no “physical or pathological changes” were found in a post mortem examination on the dog, which led to “explosion of aggression”.

The official said that the family owned the dog for about four years and thought he was about seven years old.

Last year, North Yorkshire Police Said that the dog was identified as an XL bully and placed below by a vet, confirming that there was a certificate of exemption under recent law that banned the breed.
