The RCMP announced Tuesday that law enforcement agencies across Canada combined efforts to seize massive amounts of deadly fentanyl in a month-long operation called National Fentanyl Sprint 2.0.
The operation, launched by the Canadian Integrated Response to Organized Crime (CIROC), led to the seizure of 386 kilograms of fentanyl and $13.46 million in cash.
In total, RCMP say 8,136 arrests were made.
A release said the investigation began on May 20 and ended on October 31, 2025, and involved “law enforcement agencies across Canada.”
RCMP said that during the investigation, officers focused their efforts on fentanyl dealers, production laboratories, distribution networks and financial supporters.
“Sprint 2.0 emphasizes the importance of financial investigations, recognizing that dismantling the economic infrastructure of organized crime is a strong deterrent and key to long-term success,” the release said.
