Monsoon Ling on MP, Heavy Rain Alert released for September 25-26

Bhopal, September 22 (IANS) The monsoon season in Madhya Pradesh is still showing no signs of retreat. Despite the calendar inching on October, the rain clouds keep hovering over the state, bringing intermittent rainfall and a fresh warning for heavy rains in the coming days.

According to local meteorological updates, light rain is expected to continue in most districts for the next three days.

The Meteorological Department has issued warnings with heavy rains, thunderstorms, thunderstorms at different places in Betul, Hara, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Khargon and Barwani.

Additionally, thunder activity is expected in a wide section of Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, and more than 40 other districts.

Residents are advised to stay indoors during stormy circumstances and take necessary precautions.

Officials are closely monitoring the situation because unstable weather affects the region.

Passengers and farmers should be vigilant and follow local advice. However, a low pressure area in the region is likely to intensify, triggering heavy rainfall on 25 and 26 September coincides with the festival, especially when ‘garba dance’ is under an open sky.

Officials have issued advice that the residents have been urged to be vigilant, especially in low and flood-prone areas.

On Sunday, more than 15 districts, light to moderate rainfall, including Bhopal, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Mandla and Narsinghpur were recorded. Brief traffic disruption and waterlogging were observed in many areas in the city, although there was no major damage.

In Ujjain, the inhabitants ended the day of repressive humidity and summer, before the evening showers gave very important relief. The roads cooled down, and a sudden rain was welcomed by the local people to prepare for the Navratri ceremony.

Meteorologists suggest that this may be the last active phase of monsoon in Madhya Pradesh.

Following the expected heavy rains next week, the conditions may stabilize, pave the way for the seasonal return of the monsoon streams.

The magic of extended rainy has mixed mixed effects-while it has re-filled the reservoirs and supported late season crops, it has also delayed cutting and disrupting daily life in urban centers.

Farmers are keeping a close watch on the weather patterns, expecting a balanced end of the season.

Braces, state’s flexibility and preparations will be tested once again for another rainy magic as Madhya Pradesh. Citizens are advised to stay updated with local weather bulletin and take necessary precautions during the upcoming heavy rain alert.
