Accompanied by Mongolian Foreign Minister Battetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador Ganbold Dambajaev and a high-level delegation, the President’s visit underlined the growing spiritual and cultural ties between the two countries.
On arrival, President Khurelsukh was accorded a traditional welcome by Dharmavatsaldas Swami, representing Mahant Swami Maharaj, the spiritual head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
The President offered prayers at the Akshardham Temple and performed the sacred “Abhishek” ritual of “Shri Neelkanth Varni”, seeking blessings for peace, harmony and welfare of both the peoples.
In a deeply personal moment, the Mongolian President received a letter of blessing from Mahant Swami Maharaj, who praised the President’s leadership and commitment to promoting unity and compassion in Mongolia.
The letter also prays for the continued wisdom and well-being of the President and for the enduring friendship between India and Mongolia to flourish through shared spiritual values.
Reflecting on the historical and emotional depth of India-Mongolia relations, President Khurelsukh remarked, “The bond between the people of India, as serene and peaceful as the flow of the River Ganges, and the people of Mongolia, whose hearts are as vast as the Mongolian plains, has its origins since the time of the Hunnu Empire.”
He described Akshardham as a living testimony of India’s rich spiritual heritage and described it as a temple that reflects the lifestyle, traditions and deep spirituality of the Indian people.
The President expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and peaceful experience in Akshardham, and said that such gestures of goodwill and reverence strengthen the cultural bridge between the two countries.
Standing as a testament to eternal faith and collective spirit, Swaminarayan Akshardham remains one of India’s most revered spiritual destinations – welcoming visitors from all over the world and nurturing a deep sense of unity among diverse cultures.
